Development Coordinator- Full-time
The Arc of York County is hiring a full-time Development Coordinator to assist the Development team of The Arc in planning and implementing all fundraising and special event activities, as well as community relations, in York and Adams Counties.
The Development Coordinator responsibilities include:
- Plan, coordinate and implement all aspects of fundraising events assigned
- Assist with all fundraising activities
- Maintain and manage development databases
- Record and acknowledge contributions to The Arc of York and Adams Counties
- Attend assigned Development committee and subcommittee meetings
- Assist the Development Department in the acquisition of sponsorships and major gifts
- Provide assistance as needed for third-party events and fundraisers
- Attend any organization-related community relations activities
- Assist in grant research and writing
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 2-years relevant experience
- Excellent networking skills and experience with event management
- Ability to effectively communicate one-on-one or in group setting
- Exceptional writing and editorial skills with great attention to detail
- Positive, creative attitude
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills
- Willingness to take on job challenges
- Proficient in Microsoft Office a must; Adobe Illustrator experience preferred.
Advocate (York County)- Full-time
The Arc of York County is hiring a full-time Advocate in our York County Center. The Advocate is responsible for supporting, educating, and empowering individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families/caretakers. Work to assure that their basic needs are met, that they receive the services to which they are entitled and their rights as citizens are protected. The Advocate works with local, state, and national organizations to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities.
Prefer degree from accredited college or university in human services, social services or a related field. At minimum, high school diploma/GED plus 18+ college credits in human services or related field.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertinent to intellectual/developmental disabilities; appropriate means of communication and interaction with clients from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, races and ethnicities, religions, etc.; problem solving techniques; mastery of English language, basic math; basic principles of social work. Typical office computer software.
Billing Clerk- Full-time
The Arc of York County is hiring a full-time Billing Clerk to bill for non-profit services provided. Hours will be Monday through Friday during business office hours that are 8 AM-4 PM, 37.5 hours per week.
Duties will consist of data entry, tracking payments. Working with billing department and accounting staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Previous office experience required.
Employment Training Specialist (Adams County)- Full-time
Our full-time Employment Training Specialist will provide job placement and on-the-job training to our wonderful and most valued clients who are people with disabilities in the Adams County areas. Come join our amazing team at our office in Adams County.
- Experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities required.
- Must have reliable transportation and pass background checks.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule with availability on evenings and weekends.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Direct Service Professional- Part-time
Positions open for habilitation, companion, and respite services for adults with developmental disabilities in the York/Hanover area. The Arc provides support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in order to assist them in having maximum opportunities to actively participate in all aspects of community life and to offer programs and services that support them in doing so.
Essential job duties include, but are not limited to:
Assume overall care of individual with intellectual/developmental disability. For some individuals, it will include medical care and for others it will not include any medical care at all. Duties may include assuring the person's safety, assistance with feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility/ambulation; preparing food and housekeeping. For some individuals it will include medical care. For some it will include occasional local transportation.
High school diploma or GED required. Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Must be able to pass all background checks. Must be able to work independently. Related experience a plus.
